  • Safe Routes to School III/TAP Park Sidewalk Project 
    • 100% Fed Funded (reimbursable)
    • Down Industrial Drive and around the big ball field - Down Green Apple/Weatherwood from 319 to Wilson - Down Orchard Hollow and left on Chantileer and then back on 319 to Wilson Loop Ext

    • ​AHTD is the lead on this project.  
    • 1/31/19 - Scope Meeting with Ward Mayor, Ward Street Supervisor, Engineering and Planning members of ARDOT, and members of Garvin Engineers.  Project is in complete redesign.

    • ARDot Reevaluated Project Cost (previous cost $750k - estimated new cost $1.9M
    • 2020 Surface Transportation Project proposal submitted seeking $525k from Metroplan and $525k from ARDOT. The City and the County have pledged $200k.
    • 6/24/20 - ARDoT approved $375,000 in additional funding.  $150,000 short-fall will be off-set by the County.
    • Bids go out in November
    • Estimated Construction Start Date: Spring 2021

  • AR Economic Development Grant $200,000 will remove 17 houses off Vacuum Wastewater System, which will eliminate 12 pits

  • ​​2020 AR Parks and Tourism Grant Request: The city's Park and Recreation Director and the Mayor will brief the project proposal to the Committee on October 29. The 50/50 matching grant request is to build a new ADA Compliant Concession Stand, an ADA/All-Inclusive Playground, and a new 200' ball field. More information by December 2019. 
    • Awarded the FULL amount for our 2020 AR Parks and Tourism Outdoor Recreation Grant proposal

  • Water Drainage Study
    • Awarded $21,000 from Fema​​ September 8, 2020 - This is Phase 1 of a multi-year project to study and map storm water drainage in the entire city
    • Fema will pay 75% - Cities portion is 25%

    • Waiting on mandatory training before we can proceed
